RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh’s First Friday Market and Movie event scheduled for Friday, Nov. 6, at Moore Square has been canceled because of weather, city officials said.

The free downtown event was set to bring local vendors, food trucks, live music and an outdoor movie to Moore Square at 201 S. Blount Street.

The evening’s planned movie was Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009), with the market and food trucks originally scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. and live music beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Raleigh Parks posted a cancellation notice on the city’s website, citing weather as the reason. Moore Square’s official event calendar also lists the Nov. 6 program as canceled.

The First Friday Market and Movie series is held in partnership with Get 2 Know Raleigh. The movie series is sponsored by the Downtown Raleigh Alliance.

Residents can check the City of Raleigh’s event page for updates and other upcoming activities at Moore Square.
