The GoTriangle regional transportation board officially authorized the final design phase for an 18-mile Bus Rapid Transit corridor connecting downtown Cary, the N.C. State University precinct, and Raleigh Union Station.
Funded through Wake County transit sales tax revenues and matching federal capital grants, the project will feature dedicated center-running lanes, level boarding platforms, and priority green-light signaling. Construction is scheduled to begin in early spring 2027, with revenue service starting in late 2028.
